An overview of the production process for fasteners
The fastener production process includes multiple steps, from raw material procurement to finished product packaging, each of which is crucial. Fasteners are widely used in various industries, such as energy, electronics, machinery, chemical industry, etc., so their production process needs to strictly control the quality to ensure a high standard of products.
Raw material procurement
The first step in fastener production is raw material procurement. According to the type of fastener, choose the right material of raw materials, such as stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, etc. The procurement cycle is generally between 1-3 days.
processing
The processing process includes rough processing and forming of raw materials. Commonly used processing methods include turning, milling, grinding, punching, etc. Cold heading is a common mass production method in which raw materials are extruded into the desired shape through molds, guaranteeing high efficiency and precision.
Threading
Fasteners need to be threaded for connection function. Threading can be done by thread rolling or thread rolling, which can create high-quality threads without chipping.
heat treatment
Heat treatment is a key step in improving the mechanical properties of fasteners. Through quenching, tempering and other processes, the hardness, toughness and other properties of fasteners can be improved, especially for high-strength fasteners, thread rolling after heat treatment is a common practice.
Surface treatment
Surface treatment is designed to improve the corrosion resistance and appearance quality of fasteners. Common surface treatments include plating, phosphating, coating, etc., which can prevent rust and increase aesthetics.
Inspection and packing
Finally, the appearance, size, mechanical properties and other tests of the processed fasteners are carried out to ensure that the products meet customer requirements. Qualified fasteners are packed according to customer requirements and ready for logistics delivery.
