How to Choose the Right Screw and Nut Assembly Machine for Your Application

Selecting a screw and nut assembly machine for your application requires comprehensive consideration of the following key factors:

1. Core Parameter Matching

Screw Specification Range

Standard machines typically support diameters from M1 to M6, with an aspect ratio of ≥1.1 to ensure stable conveying. Exceeding this range requires a customized solution. For example, specialized equipment is required for special specifications such as anchor bolts.

Automation Level

Handheld: Low cost, suitable for a wide range of product models (20-30 pieces/minute)
Multi-axis: Preferred for mass production, most efficient but requires custom tooling
Inline: Integrated with assembly line automation, suitable for continuous production
II. Functional Module Requirements

Feeding System

Vibrating plates are suitable for conventional screws, while air-blowing/suction-type systems are suitable for lightweight or special-shaped parts. Optical sensors are required to detect screw position to prevent jamming.

Locking Quality

Torque control accuracy must reach ±5%, with real-time monitoring of anti-slip and missed locking. Combinations with anti-loosening features (such as double nuts and nylon washers) are preferred in vibrating environments.
III. Industry Compatibility
Electronics: Two-dimensional automatic positioning systems are more suitable for frequent model changeovers.
Automotive/Aviation Requires high-precision servo control. Recommended screw combinations are grade 8.8 or higher.
Heavy Machinery: Choose a customized machine model that supports bolts M20 and larger, paired with a hydraulic tightening module.
IV. Brand and Service
International brands (such as DEPRAG) offer mature technology but high costs. Domestic equipment (such as the YMJ series) offers better value for money. It's important to verify the manufacturer's case studies, especially successful projects in similar application scenarios.
V. Verification Process
Specimen Testing: Provide actual screw samples to verify feed stability.
Working Condition Simulation: Test anti-loosening performance on a vibration table (recommended frequency ≥ 3Hz).
Expansion Assessment: Reserve 20% of production capacity to accommodate future demand fluctuations.

Through a comprehensive assessment of the above dimensions, we can precisely match the technical requirements of different application scenarios.
